Portfolio > Small Worlds: Dioramas in Boxes

My mother, Ruth Tyack, made wonderful, amusing, tiny dioramas inside eggshells for years, just for the fun and love of it. The memory of these, and my admiration for the works of Joseph Cornell, Magritte, De Chirico, Redon, Max Ernst and other artists of the fantastical, allow me to tap into an ironical or unworldly realm and surprise myself with what results. It's a dream becoming visible with all its strange, weird associations.
